Post Belly Pan Wanted

Anybody have a belly pan to fit an '85 Euro laying around or on a donor car they'd care to sell?

Try DEVEK. That is where I got mine.

Thaks, Bill. I know they have them, but I am hoping to find a used one before having to shell out $450 to Devek. (The '85 requires their $95 adapter!)

I inquired with Susan at Devek and she told me that they have Used belly dancing pans for 175.00.

Mark,

Also have two other vendors.
<a href="http://www.mailordercentral.com/928intl/products.asp?dept=145" target="_blank">928 International belly pans</a> aluminum undertray for MY 87-95 for $195. Not sure for your MY though.

<a href="http://www.928gt.com/" target="_blank">928 Specialists</a> has your MY part#928.504.941.04 for $129.90

Seems cheaper then "Devek" but I havn't called either for stock availability.

Keeps us posted.

Yes the stock pan may be cheaper but is more of a chin pan than a belly pan. The one that Devek has made is a full length belly pan like the'87 and up models. It provides more protection to your "vitals". The alternator on my car has a nice beveled look to it now for the lack of a good belly pan.

Anyone have one from 928 Int'l? It's cheap enough, but I'd like to know that it's well built and not godawful ugly.

Shane,

Actually...I need the pan myself as I found it missing after getting the car. Not sure why Buxton Motorsports the seller, nor "Foreign Performance" the shop performing the PPI and mechanical work didn't catch this but that aside...I probably should replace it although unfortunately at my expense.

I know there has been a previous thread on this but anyone have an opinion on the "Devek" pan vs the cheaper stock piece?

Here is some clarification on parts and pricing for belly pans.

The factory S4/GT/GTS front belly pan is P/N 928.504.021.02 and current list price is $299.82. Our price is $268.50 No mounting hardware is included.

DEVEK's S4/GT/GTS front all-aluminum belly pan is $250.00, lowered from the original price of $275.00 because we are now manufacturing them in larger batches. This was the first all-aluminum version on the market and we have been selling this item for over a year now with excellent results from everyone who has installed. Mounting hardware is included.

The factory S4/GT/GTS rear belly pan is P/N 928.504.029.02.GRV and current list price is $227.57. Our price is $204.00.

The factory 78-86 protective plate is P/N 928.504.941.04 and current list price is $149.63. Our price is $134.50.

Our front adapter for mounting the S4 belly pan to 78-86 928s is ready for shipping. The price of the adapter is $95.00, mounting hardware included. This is not a replacement for the factory protective plate, and should be used only in conjunction with the DEVEK or factory front S4/GT/GTS belly pan.

See our web site for pictures and more info. Thank you for your time and please contact me with any further questions.

My original has some rub damage on the corners, and one of the front brackets has been "fixed" at some point in its life. If I needed a replacement today, I'd probably go for the Devek part.

Well, Susan -

Looks like you're gonna owe Dr. Bob and Shane a commission. Based on their - and others- comments, I'll be calling in the next couple of days to order the DEVEK belly pan and adapter plate (hmmm...only need to find another $400 to spend to get the cool DEVEK decals!).

What is shipping time/cost to ZIP 32503?

Huge box that doesn't weigh much, so as long as you go by ground it's about $35 s/h, 6 business days.

We will look forward to your call!

Mark,

I got the DEVEK aluminum belly pan after I destroyed
mine going off road at Thunderhills. I like it a
lot better then the original. I did a little write
up at: <a href="http://sis125.berkeley.edu/928/wk-bellypan.html" target="_blank">Belly Pan</a>
