928 Fender Flare Opportunity
I thought I posted this, but can't find it..... I apologize if this is a repost.
As a result of my car's ugliness, Dave Tassinari has developed some fender flares for a 928. He is willing to make a one time run for those that might want these flares for their 928s. Dave used my 335/30x18 Hoosiers mounted on Kinesis 18x12 wheels as a goal for the size wheel that the flare could house. These flares can be riveted on and with cutting of the underlying fender should provide adequate clearance for most needs. He has made a sample of aluminum, and is willing to also create a steel version if someone wants to have theirs welded on. All the flares are identical so that racers can a spare or two to use on any corner of the car.
Please understand that Dave is doing this as a benefit for 928 racers, and at this time the flares are not tested in use. Dave is willing to produce them at $50 each plus shipping. We are finally about to start a run. After reviewing the costs of producing the flares, the cost did increase quite a bit, but it still quite a bit cheaper than the first set of flares I had made for my car. My original front pair cost $1,000.
I will be placing the order in the next few days. This could be the last oppotunity for quite a while, as gathering enough orders to get the price at this level is not a trivial task.
If anyone wants a pair of this flares (or two pairs). Please email me asap. The price is now $375 per pair, plus shipping.

I would be interested. I just wish that the actual flare started higher up in the belt line(like the GTS). I understand that these are for racing, so esthetics are not that important. But more people would be interested if it looked more integrated and have less of an "added on look".

I would definitely say the flare will have an "added on" look, there really isn't an expectation of otherwise. Although perhaps a good body shop could minimize that aspect.
With regard to where the flare is located, that is definitely something that can be adjusted, but the flare itself is a fixed length, so you would have more space between the bottom of the flare and the tire. The location chosen on my car allows 335/30x18s with about 1.75" of spacers to keep the inside of the tire just enough away from the lower control arm.

aesthetics, but will fit those narrow 335 width tires
front and rear.

Ernest (NYC)
Do they even make 335's in any selection for the street.
Corvette rear. Lambo's. Ferrari's. Porsche widebody. and Yugo.

I don't mind, but the front flares are not the same as the ones being produced, mine are special :-)
I think they look wonderful, of course I remember all the past contact issues, as well as how they looked before paint.
