Post CIS Fuel problem

Hi

Have a small probem with my 928!!!

I had many fuel injection problems in the past, the apparent last problem was due to low fuel volume, in fact I was getting 0.8litres per 30 sec on the return line

I changed the pump and fitlter and now i am getting 1200cc, car starts easier, runs OK upto 3000rpm then it seems to pop and lose power. It stays this way so its driveable but has no power. Noticed its sa lillte smokey and laso the exhaust gets very hot and the inlet manifolds seem almost cold

Could this be a mixture problem??

Any help appreciated

Thanks

No CAT, hardly any exhaust (back box removed)

I have been round to Pauls (maltese928) and all preasures were fine.
The car seems to be rich/lean
cannot work out which yet...
The car seems to have a huge flat spot at 3000Rpm and will miss and pop at anything higher than that.
Could the flat spot be caused be an incorrect mixture setting?
The spider seems to be cold after a small run but the exhaust HOT. I burnt my hand on it and we only went on a 5 min trip <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />
Any advice appriciated!

thanks

One possible cause of low power and a very hot exhaust is retarded ignition timing.

Was going to suggest a blocked cat, but noticed the no cat in signature. Sorry.
