That car was at SITM 2001. They trailered it in in the middle of the night whilst we were partaking in some adult beverages in the hotel parking lot. Very nice car indeed. It was an '84 or '85 Euro that had been extensively modified (of course with a Strosek kit, etc...), and had a GTS 5.4 liter supercharged engine. The engine is/was very clean and detailed with all the powdercoating, but the color choices were a bit strange looking. Nice car none the less. Was up for sale a few times at a ridiculous price. Realistically I'd say it might be worth $50K. Or at least that would be all I'd be willing to pay. I think they said they had $120K invested, or some such astronomical figure. <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

Hey Chris,

Is that a Strosek body kit? I thought the site said it was a Koening?

In the "New Pictures" section, they have a really nice white 928, with a *really* clean undercarriage. It looks like they powder coated all the suspension parts, and cleaned and repainted the entire undercarriage and engine. It looks like a new car. But with color. Very clean...

Yup, just down the road on Hualapai. I helped the owner unload it off the truck. He's doing some work on it now but it should be road bound again pretty soon. Looks just a frikn bad *** in person as it does in picture! One of these days i will get us all together to hoist a few and talk 928.

Wow, I love that body!

I'm sorry guys, but I have always wished Porsche had used round wheel well openings instead of what we've got. There's too much space showing above the tire at the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions at all four corners.

Additionally I've wished too that they would have flared the car similar to the 944. Now that's a car with beautiful quarters.

...Just look at that car!!!

The 928 look is still there, but much more muscular and oh-so-tough looking!

I wish I'd never seen that picture...

You (and Jay) are correct Vegas. It's a Koenig, not a Stosek. Not sure why I typed that. You caught me in one of my unusual (but getting more usual) stupid moments. LOL. Very sweet car indeed though. I wonder what the new owner paid for it??? Any answer on that one Tony??? BTW, Tony was also in the parking lot that night with us. He and Tom F. were sticking their hands through the wheel to determine wheel width. I think they were 13", if I remember correctly. So deep you can hardly see the rear rotor!!!!!
