Post Emmsions/O2 sensor question

I drive an 82 weissach, and it recently had surgery for test pipes and a air pump bypass. It does not seem to run quite the same, like is to rich or lean or something. Anyone know why? Should I change something in mixtures, or do something with the O2 sensor, like get one of those devices that gives a constant reading?

Questions -

Was there any welding done?. If so, was the battery disconnected or did you disconnect the ECU?. If welding was done and the ECU wasn't disconnected, you may have an ECU issue.

Have you reset your ECU ater the work was completed. (Disconnect battery for about 5-10 Minutes) Then reconnect - Also, with the battery removed, touch the - and + battery connections for your shark, together (NOT THE BATTERY ITSELF). This will erase the memory. You will need an additional amount of cable to do so. (I read this in the Rennlist Archives)

Another thing, the lack of performance may be due to your weak battery (if so). What is your voltage meter reading at an idle?. It should be 12 or slightly higher. If it's below, charge your battery.

Good Luck and I hope this Helps.

That is it exactly! The dead battery is causing the light and power issues. I will get a new one and reset the brain. Thanks! Ian
