What wheels will fit my car?

What wheels will fit my car?
I am currently running C2 rims with tires sized 225/45-17 and 245/40-17 on a 1985 928.
I am looking to purchase a 2nd set of rims for track use. Other than the obvious Porsche take offs, what will work eg: diameter and offsets and
also what is the lug spacing?
There is a nice set of BBS 18x8" with 32mm offset and dual 5x100 and 5x112 spacing for sale locally

There has been quite a bit of discussion lately on this topic, and from those discussions you can get a good idea of what will 'work'. Definitely worth reading.
The lug spacing is 5 x 130.
In the meantime, don't bother with the 32mm rims as they are not even close.

It is a BIG expense to do it correctly. I think the least expensive set of properly offset, wider than stock wheels, runs about $2000 without tires. Otherwise you are relegated to running a 225 section front tire. With the correct offsets you can run a 255 front on 17's or a 265 front on 18's.
I used to run 225 frt and 245 rear on my 951 at the track. They worked great but your 928 wieghs about 500lbs more. The big tires are worth it IMO.
Your best bet is to check with the "big three" 928 suppliers. They all have experience with proper fittiments. Good Luck

The VERY short answer, is check the thread you were referred to and read the Kim Crumb post. You want to stay with his rule of thumb:
Front offsets in the mid to high 60's and rear offests in the mid to high 50's.
Be sure to check 928GT for the original specs on a GTS--65MM and 55MM is how they came.
