Ed, we would have taken best in show but our center caps were 12 degrees off center. 4 points off.
Justin must have been there.

I siliconed mine in there so they won't move. I just did it for Justins sake, I'm tired of him giving me chit.

John.....Oh how do I love a good story. How's Mike feeling?

It always amazes me what you can achieve with car show judges in Texas with just a 6 pack of beer and a 3 pc value meal from KFC!

Mike was/is bummed out. And rightly so.

After the "injury" to the stepson, he then commenced to the insult portion of the show. John remained calm and cool, but my guess is he'll snap soon.

Default FIVE OF A TEX-A$$ SIX PACK...

Kudos to you both! I thought it was a joke (who, me???) reading...
'til I saw the pics.

Low Down From the Road: John & Mike headed back to TX early...alone together. Rumor has it they wanted to continue playing 'bumper cars' together.

OK..This pic was NOT staged...Paul @ SEARS awaiting new treads...
Not easy finding 'everything in Ostrich leather on a Sunday!:

The TREAD... or LACK there-of:

ROGER & PAUL... Trying to get JIM M to 'jump in'...parking lot alignment:

ED, GERRY, PAUL & ROGER... or -- HOW MANY TEXANS DOES IT TAKE TO WATCH JIM LAY ON THE GROUND??

AND, FINALLY - FIVE OF THE TEX-A$$ POSSE SIX-PACK REMAINING... IN TENNESSEE... AND ABOUT TO MOVE OUT THIS AM...(Gerry's Shark must havehtt had private accommodations!)

I TRUST THERE WILL BE 'MORE TALES FROM THE ROAD'...

Gee, it woulda been nice if someone pointed it out to Paul!

He didn't check his tread before we left as they were new tires. Anytime someone sees an issue with a car, never, ever assume the owner knows...

We think his toe loosened up at the Dragon, as he had severe toe in both sides.

He pointed them out to me Fri nite. I never looked at them personally, but my friend is pretty savy when it comes to cars. I trust that if cords were showing that nite, he would have been a little more serious about telling me. Anyway, you make a very good point and now I feel like I owe Paul an apology. I guess sometimes we take casual conversation a little too casual. A good lesson for all.

There's a few of us in the hill country that weren't able to make it. Experienced a nice Sunday morning drive myself.

No one has said what exactly Paul was doing that caused his rear tires to go bald after 1,500 miles?

Why he was driving the tires off his car with the rest of us at "The Dragon", of course!!

Well, it all worked out no injuries, other than to Paul's wallet. I got the thing about ALWAYS speaking up if you see something wrong from flying homebuilt airplanes. We loved having other sets of eyes on our planes.

...which gives credence to the fact that ALL TRAUMA (read: all physical injury) IS A PREVENTABLE DISEASE!

There are no 'accidents' . . . (well, OK, I might have started life out as one, but....)

Well, once again, there are more that two sharks back in Tex-A$$...
Great trip... Thanks Tex-A$$ Posse!
