Thanx Guys,
I think it could be a part gone south. I was extremely careful putting it all back together and I would be completely surprised if anything I did was leaking.....
That being said, out comes the inner tube trick again....
It really isn't any big deal. Its just a little different thats all. The performance of the car has gotten much better. Throttle response off the line is exceptional and the car pulls way harder than it used to.
I am really happy with the way it turned out. Its not stalling or anything and is actually idling quite smoothly after an initial 1 minute warmup. I want to check the rubber booties. I may have to torque them down more. Maybe I just wasn't aggressive enough with the clamps. I wasn't sure how much crunch the boots would take before cutting them or something. The old Porsche boots didn't take much clamp pressure before they would crush or split so I was being careful.
I'll check it tonight and post back tomorrow.
Thanx

Three Wheelin'
Doz,
Yep, that's the one. The "T" requiring the larger boots and clamps. I was in a deal with a vendor where I would borrow a used one from him and return a my used one when the powdercoating was done. It must have fallen through, I never got it.
If you have one I could buy reasonable $, I'll then have a full set to sell when I'm done. Or, if you want it back, I'll "rent" it or something.
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
Thats fine with me. You can borrow the "TEE". When do you expect to be finished and have your old one sent back?
I just want a ball park time line. I will need your adress to ship to. Just think of it this way, maybe one day I will ask you for a small favor. I think it's easier just loaning the part out, then selling it. Because I do have a complete spare set that I wouldn't mind having powder coated for someone when they are waiting.
Post the prices the clean up and powder coating costs of the intake tubes, boxes and such you have coated.

If your a real gamer you can powder coat yourself. Just do a search for "powder coating" and you can find a number of companies that sell small powder coating outfits for the garage DIYS.
I would probably end up powder coating my feet so its not for me but some of you more adventurous souls may want to give it a go. Pick a color any color!
How about a rotating lend lease intake manifold?

I intend to buy one in the near future. But, I need to buy a compressor first. reason being I would like a way to prep everything I coat. If I have to take something to be prepped, then I may as well give it to one person and have both done.
