Post Titanium conrods, how much power gain???

Ok one for all you technical types, let's say were building a 550 hp stroker motor, how much gain are we going to get, when we use lighter conrods? The standard chevy rod weighs 620 grams and the titanium rod weighs 360 grams. The engine will rev to 7500 rpm. Answers that help will be appreciated.

Cheers Greg.

You would have to do more than just the conrods. Valves and valve springs would be just as important to raise your RPM past stock limits. Try looking over this site: www.928developments.com

The lighter weight of rods adds little power or more correctly weight drains little since over 1/2 the rod weight is in the big end on the crank and moving in a circular motion . The small end wrist pin and piston weight is being accelerated and stopped at the top and bottom of each stroke . More would be gained from lighter pistons lighter wrist pins but even there it is not huge amounts . The advantage of light weight is being able to use higher rpm .
