CHaadster and Cambonic were here yesterday and I was going to hook up my diagnostic computer to their cars (both 88's IIRC). I removed the passenger amp cover and to my surprise, there was no diagnostic port.
Can anyone tell me where it's located?

For 88s plug is on the plate holding LH and EZK brains (on my RHD it's behind the carpeted flap to left of main panel).
It moved to the hump (and a different connector) for 89 onwards.

Yes, MY 87 have the same 12 way diagnostic connector and wiring as MY88. All you need is to fit the later EPROMS to the LH and EZK (which I can supply) and then you have diagnostics on a MY87.
I can also supply suitable leads to connect most types of diagnostic testers to the 12 way diagnostic socket on the car.
