I'm gonna go out on a limb here and wager that JKelly is a card-carrying member of the AFDB Club:

randy, what the hell are you on, i want some!
also, as a tidbit that someone may be interested in, as i was dring north on texas 287 through the heart of the "belt" last sunday, i noticed a bunch of radical ferraris, bmw 850's, benz's, you name it, with stickers that read gumball 3000 and dkny.com. i mean reckless would not even describe it. staying in the right lane, some clods refused to move over, and a gaggle of hot cars just bunched up bigtime. i had a ferrari pass me on the shoulder! i watched as this unfolded and in every town all the way to amarillo, every county sheriff and texas hp were there to provide fatherly advice to these scofflaws. at one point they had about a dozen cars pulled over at one time. as they say: ONLY IN AMERICA.
as an aside, the guys with the new york tags were definitely the most aggressive.

Porsche is a self-serving profit motivated corporation and exists to return a value to their shareholders. They jealously guard their trademark and franchise because Porsche in particular takes pride and value in their legacy -as do we.
However, they should lighten up. Having noted this, they really have no way of knowing what your plans are for a REOPORSCHE web-site, and I assume their polciy is to fire a warning shot across your bow before it get too far.
Porsche has very deep pockets and could make this whole thing painful for you, so for your own sake, I'd sidestep the problem. Make them pay though.
Just a few thoughts about the legal profession, if I may:
A license to practice law can be a license to steal.
I have a friend who just paid $80,000 as part of an out of court settlement to a lawyer who spent no more than 40 hours and a few paper clips on his case.
Of course, lawyers are people just like the rest of us, and there are some very fine people and some real *&^%holes.
What I don't understand about my friends case is how a guy who practices law can accept this kind of payment for a case he spent so little time on.
I would think that because lawyers are involved in the Justice system, that they would have some conscience guiding them in situations like this, but they don't.
So - if anyone wonders why lawyers have such a bad name, you need look no further than right here.

Randy,
Either your with us or against us. Construct your aluminum beanie quickly or otherwise you may fall under the mind absorbing spell of the evil corporate puppet masters. WATCH OUT!
--Do not let them pull the synthetic polyester over your eyes. <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" /> no no no
<img src="graemlins/r.gif" border="0" alt="[king]" />
Robert: I still say to put the site up and ignore the threats. At least do some research into the true legality of the situation before you throw in the towel and give up your rights just because of a threat that can't be backed up by anything.

First of all, I'm a corporate attorney...I charge by the hour, so I'm not in the category of lawyers who get contingency fees when they win cases... BUT: such fees are justifiable because they are CONTINGENT...that is, lawyers lose and get paid NOTHING for the time they spent. Contingency fees balance this out. No one hears about the cases that are tried and lost where the clients don't pay.
People may think we're overpaid, but don't forget that the big bucks don't come for a long time. Until then, lawyers have to suck it up and make huge payments monthly to pay off their law school loans. Ask me how I know.
I don't hear anyone b!tching about the bills they get for trips to the doctor.
By the way, the guy who paid his lawyer $80,000 for "40 hours" of work certainly had the fee system explained to him before he hired that lawyer. If he didn't like it, he could have gotten a lawyer who charged by the hour.
ALSO: understand that the fee doesn't go into the lawyer's pocket. He must use it to pay himself, his staff, pay for rent, etc. etc. etc. I know that in my case, until I bill $135,000 in a year, my firm doesn't get a penny to pay me with or to compensate the partners in the firm. Overhead is VERY expensive.
I'll stop the lecture, assuming I'm boring at least most of you.

yeah it was one of those red ferrari's that passed me on the shoulder in a crowd of about 15 cars. that open cockpit one passed me between 120-140. man, you just can't pull that crap in west texas on a sunday morning. what was funny though was with all their fuel stops and 5-0 visits, i kept up with them the whole way and even moved on as they sat at the side of the road receiving some of that "texas hospitality". you s-4 and gts guys might have run with these guys but they maintained an average speed of 70 mph by doing 140 and 0.

Snowball:
I would handle criminal cases the way most attorneys do: ask the client if he/she did it. If he didn't, defend him that way. If he did, get the best deal you can.
It's an imperfect system, but the legal manuevering that made the O.J. trial famous is there to protect those that are wrongly accused. Last time I checked, wrong people do get accused and convicted. Ever hear about DNA evidence getting someone out of prison? If YOU were ever wrongly accused, you'd want to use every single possible way to be acquitted. To protect the innocent, the guilty must have the same ways available to them. How would you fairly change the system?
Don't get carried away with re-runs of "The Practice."
Again, sorry for the rant.

Glad you took it in the light-hearted spirit it was intended John (JKelly).
Snowy (I'm gonna start callin' you Frank - until I learn otherwise), I asked the nurse, but she says I can't share them.

Hey, Steverino - what's with the buttholes on your car?
I too have a white car, but it has white plastic caps that fill those two 'buttholes'.
Anyone know why those holes are even there?

Steve,
My question is; Do all the Euro, rear side markers stick out that far? It's not a bad look, I had never noticed that they weren't recessed before. Your white does look good!
