Okay, so here's my scale again...
10 - Most complicated 928 project possible
7 - Motor mount replacement
4 - Gas tank replacement
2 - Brake pad replacement
I've been informed that I need new (front) ball joints. The shop has quoted me $800 to install new ones.
My dear wife and I have an agreement that we can continue to make repairs on the OB as long as I do them.
So
a. what is the level of difficulty?
b. are there any sensible WYAI things to consider?
Thanks!
Tim

Probably a 2-3 on your scale: the only annoying step is freeing the ball joint stud: buy a $20 press from a Harbour Freight type of store, or use the two-hammer method. Since the old joints are trash, even the detestable pickle fork works ....
Two hrs max + cost of the joints and a fresh front alignment should be <<<$800.
