1986.5 S Rear Spoiler Refinish
I just used Wurth Flexprime and their Flexible satin trim paint to refinish my oxidized spoiler and wings. These products have the most solids available on the market, so the cover and adhere unbelievable.
They told me this would work and boy did it, it looks like new and has the factory graining.
I cleaned the rubber will a solvent, then primed it with light coats, then let that set up, the sanded any high spots out, then used light coats of the trim paint. I was worried at first since it went on very shiny, but it dried to that factory look satin finish...
I will take pics of the finished product when I can.
BIG QUESTION- I have two of the brackets on the underside of the bottom of the spoiler rusted out, who has experienced this and is there a solution?
I think with the other bolts primed and painted, and the rusty ones removed that with silicone adhesive it will be fine, any feedback appreciated.

Refinish worked beautifully, but I still have problem of rusted out tabs, so now I am sourcing a good condition center spoiler with tabs that are good, then I will refinish that one.

Well sports fans, tip one, put too much paint on it will spider and crack, so I am sanding it down and starting over... I am using my current center as the practice, I am in search of one with all mounting tabs not rusted and in good shape... then that will be the money shot.. wings turned out great.
