Mark

I will be happy to put my car on static but not so much for concours competition. My car is in good condition but no where near ready for the white glove inpection.

I'm in! I'm washed and clayed, will polish and Rejex tomorrow, and vacuum out the interior. Maybe I'll even lemon pledge the wheel wells........

I'm just displaying, the engine compartment is still not presentable, with its original crappy looking intake. The hood will stay closed.

I'll try to get some good pics.

I'd love to go as I have attended the last couple, but have not participated. I will not be able to make this one, but I know Rob and any other 928s will make us proud
Hey Rob, take some cool pics

Here goes nothing- I got the car as clean as it's been, I need a lesson on how best to apply rejex; it went on a bit streaky. Will take lots of pics! (And yes, the cowl cover is back on, and the dash mat has been removed.....)

Rob and I were the only 928's there, but there were over 120 Porsche's there and it was a great time....

... And I won my class! Nice trophy and T-Shirt

(Rob, don't tell them why I won....)

Pics later.

Rob
Looks pretty good....black is a very difficult color.......you have to be careful how thick you apply it & how long you let it cure....that plus humidity in the air will all effect streaking...I have found that most cars looks best a wash or two AFTER waxing.....to get all the hazing off!!

Despite the fact that I'm a retard when it comes to spreading Rejex evenly on a flat surface, I had a really good time this morning at the show, especially meeting and chatting with Rob (Bronto) and watching his nice original '79 get judged. I'm really kicking myself that I didn't get mine judged, and mad props to Rob for winning his class!

We were the only two sharks, but there was a nice turnout of Porsches, including more Turbos than you cold shake a stick at, a very cool 917K replica (no flat 12, unfortunately) and a maroon Ruf that had me drooling. There was also an orange Enzo and a red/black Veyron, and some beautiful vintage vettes. But enough of that, here's some pics:

I should add that my "class" was Unrestored Watercooled Front Engined Porsches. If Rob would have entered his in this class he would have smoked me. As it was though I (literally) had no peer.

OK, here we go. A little sample to start out:

That's me a Rob Edwards awaiting my car to be judged.

And here's a full gallery:

Orage County Wheels & Waves Concourse

There were definitely some very cool non-porsches too. A '69 Trans Am, which I had never seen in person before, and a Shelby Daytona, converted from a Cobra by Shelby himself. Many others.

Congrats on the win and thanks for the pics.

Looks like a great showing of P Cars as usual. I used to show there when we lived in SoCal, good to see it all again.
