How to Replace 928 Front Hood Shocks?
Thanks in advance for replies. I need to replace my front hood shocks. Do they just pull off from the nubs or do you have to remove the metal retaining band first? Similar question regarding installing the new ones, just press to clip on or is it more involved than that?

Flat head screw driver....use it to pry off the metal bands and the shocks come right off.
Leave the bands in place on the new shocks. They'll pop right onto the anchor posts.
It'll take you 1 minute tops per shock.

If you're replacing the hood and hatch shocks at the same time, make sure you use the correct ones, they have different poundage (or whatever you call it).
Also, you might want to clean up any corrosion on the ball mounts prior to putting the new ones on, and make sure you've got some grease in there.
