79 AC/Heater Control Switch
Folks,
I have a Behr 79 AC/Heater switch and I when I dismounted it from the center console, a lone black wire coming from the slider control was flapping around like sheets in the wind. I'm assuming this wire controls the luminence on the switch, however I'm not sure. Any thoughts, diagrams or information leading to the proper housing of this wire would be greatly appreciated.

Randy,
Thanks for the feedback. They used fiber optics back then?? Anyways, the the f.o. cable is currently plugged into the slider. I don't know where the other end of the cable is suppose to go? help?

The other end plugs into a hole on the main control box (the assembly with the single light bulb in it). You'll see two other fiber optic cables coming from it - one going to the other slider, and one going to the fan speed switch area.

Randy,
Thanks for the response. I will do some detective work tonight. My other slider has not FO cable and I don't see one going into the light bulb area. This should be fun!
