Default Check Engine Code Light Won't Flash

Hello,
Well, typically just before SITM, I have an issue to deal with, and I guess this year will be no exception..... On my 91GT, I've developed an off idle hesitation (and miss?) I am thinking it may be the idle contact of the Throttle Position Sensor, and it has the same symptoms I'd seen previously on my GTS when this was the cause.....
I can manually check it, but thought I'd just check the flash codes from the Check Engine Light. When I tried to do this, the light comes on when I turn the ignition key on, but when I depress he accelerator to get the thing to start flashing, I can not get it to activate, and it just stays lit solid.
Have any of you seen this before, or know what the problem could be?
Thanks,
Greg Schickel

Hi Greg! The flash codes are only for the emissions-related issues I've found. I've been playing around with my new diagnostic tool and had a check engine light becasue of a "idle contact error" but I couldn't flash it. Hope this helps.

Hello Andrew!
Thanks.... Yep, I suspected that as a possibility, but I seem to remember it coming up as an error on the GTS, but I'm not sure..... ? I'll let you know what I find.
Best,
Greg
