Post Source for Bosch style connectors?

Where can I get 3-pin Bosch style connectors that mate with the knock sensors, idle switch, impulse sender, etc? I need to replace some connectors on the wiring harness. 2-pin connectors with pigtails like those used with the fuel injectors are readily available at many auto supply stores, but I can't find the 3-pin. Thanks!

Steve,
Hope you find em'. There are a variety of wire loom and electrical connector outfits on the net you might put the old search engine to work...
If you come across a source for the Beru(?) spark plug connectors let me know,

Many of the connectors are avalable from Porsche. They are not listed under the 928 section of the parts program though. You have to look in the 944 section. There have been several connectors that I was told were not available when I said they were for a 928, but got when I said it was a 944. The Beru connectors are supposed to be available from Wurth. I've never gotten any from them, but a Porsche shop once told me that's where they get them.

Thumbs up

Mike,
Couldn't find the Beru's, I'll drop em' a line though.
BTW Did you get involved with the sound proofing thread awhile back?
If not, thre is a product under sales specials/blow outs that is interesting. Heat resistant, paintable, self adhesive, 20"x18" ...interesting.
Thanks for the url.

Default Bringing this back from the dead

I'm plotting my intake R&R, and looking at Dave Chamberlin's intake removal instructions and am thinking about all the electrical connectors I'm going to break, and whether I need to buy a 9266 tool, which is now up to $80+.

Did we (and by 'we' I mean someone besides me) ever figure out a source for replacement 2-pin Bosch connectors? Between pages 356 and 369 of the 1989-1991 Porsche 944 Katalog, there are a crapload of connectors with various P/N's that start with 944, 911 and 928, but darned if I can find 'the' one that looks like the connectors at the injectors, flappy, etc.

Rob--

You can get the two-pin AMP-style fuel injection connectors at larger Autozone stores. Since the American and Japanese cars use the same connectors, they are a commodity item. If the knock sensors use a two-pin connector we are in luck!

Rob,

I believe you have to only worry about the 2 and 3 pin connectors, that being said i would buy a few of each as your bound to find a few that are cracked, melted or something. I would strongly reccomend that fuel injector tool though cause they are a PITA. I spent probably 45 minutes with the engine on a stand not in the car removing those damn things, i had to use a tiny metal pick in both hands to free them. I am sure there has to be a better way. The 3 pin are easier to remove but the 2 pin are a real pain

If you find an alternate tool like the bosch one, let us know i would love to have one but not for $80, the tool looks pretty simple honestly, i havent seen one up close but there cant be much to it based on the picture i have seen.

I thought 928 Motorsports was listing some, but couldn't find where on their site. You might also try to contact Dave Lloyd of Munsante Motorsports and the 928 Owners Club (New England). He has a source for them in Western Mass.

Bump for good info here. I need to replace some of my 3-wire connectors (they are disintegrating).

Amazing how many threads you get when you search for 'connector'!!

By the way, if you lose one of those damn little clips (they can get zingin' sometimes) you can make new ones for yourself out of servo wire (from an R/C hoppy shop) I've had to make two.

I was actually thinking about buying a new wiring harness, about $500, but awfully nice to put all the 24 year old wires to rest. Still giving it some thought. Several of my fuel injector connections didn't survive disconnecting when the new hoses went on, so a new FI harness too.

I recently rewired the ends on all my fuel injectors, Temp II and the front knock sensor. Everything is available from Eagleday.com I purchased my fuel injector pre wired pigtails from an eBay vendor for $2.00 a piece. I had a short in one that prevented the car from starting.

I checked all the injector plugs and they were all bad, along with my Temp II and front Knock sensor. Exposed wires like the photo below, Eagleday had everything in stock and with the pigtails for the injectors from eBay and new boots and the 3 prong AMP connector kit for the Knock sensor the repair was $ 85.00 for parts

The part # for the wiring harness end of the knock sensor is ECK-101 and I think you can also order the spring clips if you have one shoot a crossed the garage
