PO put them on 3 1/2 years & 15,000 miles ago. I could easily spin the rears going around a corner, and the tires were hard and noisy at speed. A slight bump or tar strip was a bone-wrenching experience.

I searched Tire Rack & settled on the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position. I have CUP wheels so had to go with 17's. I went to my local Tires Plus shop and got the set of 4, installed with taxes and road hazard for $975. Tire Rack was $940 delivered. Not bad.

What an amazing difference! These tires ride like a dream, super quiet, and man are they sticky. Rain doesn't faze 'em and it feels like I'm driving a new car again. Happy camper here.

Wait until fall. Those RE050A's do not like being cold! During the summer they're pretty good though.

I just made the tough decision to stick with the PS2's rather than the supposedly longer-wearing Pilot AS tires. That 400 UTQG looked mighty good, but the traed pattern said 'noisy!' compared to the ribs on the PS2's.

I have 16k on the front PS2's on my car now, and the issue is wear on the outside rib due to what turned out to be a pi$$-poor aligment by a recommended local shop. There's another few k on the centers before I hit the wear bars, but the scrub on that outer rib tells me to replace now

Overall I love the tires, in spite of the cost ($212 ea for rears/$206 ea for fronts, plus tax and $8 ea mount/balance). The Pilot costs seem very competitive with your Pole Positions at $975

We'll expect a long-term happiness report on the Bridgestones!
