Default New Owner w/Picts!

I finally got my S4 after a long search starting last November.!! Shes an early 87 flip wing black on black Auto. This was the car listed on e-bay several weeks back. Lots of digging and talking to the mechanic helped in the purchase. The deal was settled outside of ebay. I"m pleased as its a local Texas car with terrific maintnace records. The PO installed the Devek headers, radiator and borla exhaust. She sounds MEAN. I may or may not keep the exhaust but for now its a blast. dont' know when the Recaro's were added but they're in good shape and offer really great support. Cornering is great thanks to those enormous side bolsters. The car has about 85k on her. complete with factory service manuals still in the original white box stamped in German. forgot to get a picture of that for you all. Anyhow, here she is and I'm excited to finally be an official part of the gang. Oh, and Many thanks to Mark Robinson, James Morrison and Roger Tyson for enormous amounts of help and patients with a prospective owner. Top notch people.

Ben Genovese

Congratulations! There were quite a few of us at Colvin's Automotive on Saturday doing dyno runs; with that exhaust you would have fit right in.

Thanks Andrew. The car has been repainted sometime before '98. All the body panels still have their ID tags. She shows pretty nice.

Don, I wanted to hit up Colvins but couldn't get away. I've never run on a dyno before, would have been an education. Sometime soon I guess. Post a pict or two if you've got them!

Default What's w/the Texans & 928s?

What's with Texans going ga-ga and buying 928s like crazy during the past year? Is some sort of epidemic going on there? Rog, is that you, Ed H and Docmirror from "fawt wuth" getting Texans all worked into a frenzy to buy 928s? I know Texas is large but will it soon have the most 928s?

Harvey
You can count all of Idaho's 928s on one hand. But it's fun dodging logging and tater trucks on the curves.

Very nice.

I saw that car on ebay.
Keep the exhaust. It cost the previous owner a fortune-plus that is where all the power gains are.

Good Luck

If you ever go back to stock seats, let me know. I will treat you well on those Recaros!

Going to have to hang on to the seats for now, but you're first on the list Kevin. Man, love those rims you've got. Wow.

Everything's bigger in Texas.

OP, congrats on the nice ride. I think you'll be very happy. Tell me the AC is working right. If not, I'm sure you'll be in touch.

Congrats to you. Yes.. those Recaros look really sweet too. And hope the A/C is working for those Texas summers.

My 88 A/C works great, much better than the 911 Targa does...
