Iceman, I think you are right-on.

A couple weeks ago, I posted re some issues I was having with the tranny. I had run across a thread that explained how to adjust throttle, bowden, etc and did so upon suggestion from some folks. Currently, there is no slack or tension in the throttle cable; it sits on top of the ball when disconnected.

So, I'm thinking (hoping) my low numbers are a result of my avoiding kickdown and being too cautious.
