I'm down with a karting event. The last one was really fun.

There's always hope, but it's been three years now since the giant rockslide. You'd think that some giant construction company would be lobbying to get the work.

In the meanwhile, our tax dollars are still at work on the road. It was repaved from La Canada to the intersection of Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road over the "winter", so the rise is a little more plush that it was previously. Over half of that work is on the almost-dead-end section.

We have friends in Big Bear that used to deserve regular visits when we could take Angeles Crest Highway, then 138 through Wrightwood and then through Crestline to the lake. WE still go every once in a while but it's pretty boring getting on the freeway and bucking all that tourist traffic to Highland and up through Running Springs. The freeway is faster but never as much fun. We may have to call Ahhnold and see if our shrinking road tax dollars can be put to work.

If you ever venture up north to us Norcal people.....we'll schedule a fun drive-food-whatever event just for you!!! Just pick a day.......thats part of the reason we can entice Bill to keep driving up here all the way from San Diego!! We don't need many excuses to drive our sharks!
