That car looks like it might eat another car. Awesome! For vanity tags, instead of DTHSTAR (which could get you in trouble), how about VADER?

I will be waiting until my registration comes up for renewal to do the tint. In MD, they reduced the minimum age for historic vehicles to 20 years. My 88 will be having said birthday in January. And in MD, historic vehicles are not subject to tint limitations. Ordinarily, in MD, the tint must pass at least 35% of light.

In NJ there is a 3 year "limited use" inspection sticker. That is what I have.
The state only requires a sniff test at 2500 rpm. Nothing else gets looked at.

Once the car turns 25 yrs. old you can apply for Historic vehicle plates.
Once granted the state does not require any inspections.

If there was any hint of displeasure in my previous post, it was purely out of envy! My shark is a daily driver, therefore ineligible for historic or limited use plates, but I would love to have the tinting; it would look awesome on my meteor-metallic baby. Of course, I already got nailed once for having smoke gray acrylic license plate covers.

rhys,

The NJ "QQ Historic" plate registration is not mileage dependent.
I have them on a 78 911SC that sees heavy use except in the winter of course..
Apply for them if your car is 25 yrs. old.

Good Luck

Crap Rich, that car looks great!

I think the side markers and calipers provide a sassy accent to the painted wheel crests.

Very nice.
