odd oil pan leak help

so last year i had the engine out of the car and replaced the oil pan gasket. yesterday i took the car out for a spirited burst and after i parked it i noticed the car was leaking oil at a good pace.. i jacked the front up and it looks to be coming out of the oil pan gasket. Has anyone experienced this and figured out what happened? my first thought was that the oil pressure was too high and this forced the oil out of the seal?93 gts auto
any thoughts?
Thanks,
James

James,
Are you sure it is coming out of the gasket, and not from around the bolts? Earl's got a good "fix" that usually works on the bolts if that is where the leak is.

There is no pressure in the sump and the static level is below the gasket if the required 8 liters is filled AFAIK: if it is leaking when shutdown, I would look for oil sprayed around from some other source when running .... and dripping off later.
The drain plug, oil transducer, oil cooler lines, yada yada ... so add more detail.
Exactly where and when is the oil appearing? Is the rate faster with the engine running? etc

i installed a silicon gasket from realgasket, and, so far, so good. from what I understand, the realgaskets are a long term fix for oil pan leaks....cork? i still cant believe they use cork for gaskets for car engines...wine, thats about it. actually, even wine makers are moving to plastic corks, as they keep wine fresher, longer.....
