Yea, I agree with everyone else, definitely a nice touch. The Powder coating thing is getting so common. Almost cries for some more NP'ing in there. Makes me think about the other coating alternatives for engine parts now...hmmmm.

The coating is very tough, it becomes part of the base metal. You can't scratch it, you have to grind it off.

I am nickle plating my tensioner brackets. They look pretty cool, and feel kind of slippery.

The local place charged me $20 per bracket last time for an unpolished nickel plate. Horrible environment in there, I can't believe this place still exists (since 1904!), but nice result!

I did all the grinding my self, so the plates just had to plate. The whole cost was $145. thats for the eight intake runners and the center in nickle two fuel rails and eight injector hold down rings in yellow zinc.

Paul and Chuck I am keeping this one and going to redo the interior. So Paul we are still on!

Looks better in the flesh.
The EFI rails look like brand new just shipped from Porsche at $600 each.

And my schedule is pretty much on track, which is a miracle in itself
It will be fun to go over some details while at SITM.
