For Sale: 1990 S4 automatic – check it out at Sharks in the Park!
Hello,
As some of you may have noticed during last year I have made several rather lazy attempts to sell my S4 as I am now living in NYC and the car is still in Northern California (plus I am looking to upgrade to a GTS). In any case, I will be flying over for Sharks in the Park and if you are looking to get a good deal on a later year S4 - here is your chance
Here are the car's details:
1990 (315 hp, sunroof/airbag-equipped) Porsche 928 S4, automatic, 112xxx miles. The car’s history is kind of murky up to about four years ago – it has salvage title out of Texas – I am not sure why but can pretty much guarantee lack of water damage. BTW, I found the car at the Sharks in Park gathering in 2003.
Maintenance-wise the car is up to date (new breaks, steering rack, timing belt and water pump should be good for another 20K miles, AC blows cold, etc.). New AC and air pump belts, new AC clutch bearing and newish oil cooler. I will service and smog car before the weekend (all hail Bill! all hail Bill!).
Issues:
Two circuits draw about 0.1 Amp each when they shouldn’t, but the battery is brand new and we have just installed a kill switch - there are at least two local rennlisters that could probably be persuaded to give you some insight into troubleshooting the issue
Chipped paint here and there and cracks it the dash.
Rear axel boots are torn.
The price is $11000 OBO
I also have a set of four stock “dish” wheels with new(ish) Kumho tires mounted, which could either be sold with the car or by themselves.
