Default Weekend Update

Weekly status report on the health of my 928s:

Red 87: Got it running this weekend after replacing the Momo seats with something I actually fit in (Cobra Sidewinders... very nice lightweight reclining race seats). It flies like a scalded dog down the road and the sound is unbelievable (see mods list below). Driving a 5 spd 928 is so addictive... but I must sell it nonetheless. I put the interior all back together and it's actually amazingly nice other than the dash. The momo wheel and shift **** are actually pretty nice. The car will be up for sale soon, once I get the other goodies I want off of it. I was planning to remove the headers this weekend but the 9000 Aero's fuel pump took a dump on the DC beltway in Friday rush hour, so repairing that ate up most of my Saturday.

Black 88: Installed the kickdown bypass switch on Sunday. Will post photos soon. I removed the ash tray liner and installed the switch on the ash tray door, just to the left of the shifter. It has a very bright blue LED that is on when the switch is engaged. The switch itself is a small black rocker switch, about 3/4" L x 1/2" W x 1/2" H. The driving experience difference is incredible. Plus it took me longer to pick out the switch I wanted than it did to actually install it. What an easy project for such a huge change in the driveability of the car!
