Default Earth on pod

Does anyone have an idea where the earth is for the pod gauges? At first it was the amp and oil, but now also the fuel and oil gauges are pulsing up and down...

Dangerm,
1982 MY electrical drawing X shows that the earth is at position 3 ( located on steering console).

Unfortunately there is no drawing which describes the location of where earth position 3 ion a three dimentional car grid model, as there is for later models.

Hope this helps.

The Ground Terminals for your car are as follows:
1 on front lock member right
2 onat rear of wheel arch underneath right rear trim panel
3 on steering console
4 on front lock member left
5 on upper mounting for fuse/relaty board
6 on fire wall.

I would suggest that you undertake a full ground point clean and resecure wiring terminals.

My ground connection was loose on my car when I first got it and tightening it cured most of my guage problems. If you look up from the floor under the dash on the side of the steering column should be a large grouping of brown wires all in the same location with I believe was a 10 mm head bolt to fasten them. Mine was fairly loose and tightening it made a big difference in the accuracy of the guages and the ones that seemed intermitent no longer were.
p.s. my car is a 1982 also
