RDK started in 1990, to my knowledge. When I put on my new twists I had to disable the RDK system in the car so it would stop telling me there was a problem with my tire pressure.

You can jumper it to disable. I think pin 5 to pin 13, but do a search to be sure (could be pin 3 to pin 15). Anyway, what I was really surprised about was that these look like standard dish wheels and had never heard of dish wheels with RDK.

I disabled the system long ago. I actually had to disable it prior to my getting the twists. I purchased 21mm spacers to use with these wheels and it set the wheels out too far, thus breaking the connection between the wheels and sensor.

RDK was available as option in ROW cars in '89 MY as option M482. Wheels were flat disks unless M393 Club Sport wheels were specified. These CS wheels also had sensons. Even 7x16 ET65 and 8x16 ET52.3 winter wheels were done with sensors for these cars.
In '90-91 MY S4 had flat disks with RDK as standard. Design 90 with RDK was very common option M400 in these cars.
