Default Momo Jet Installed

After seeing a pic of the wheel installed in another Shark, I knew this was the wheel for mine. I was torn between the Jet and Champion wheel (which I have in my SPG). But the Jet looks fantastic, and WOW, what an immediate difference this makes in the feel of the car. I've installed Momo/Nardi wheels whenever possible in my cars and it's always one of the best changes I can make. The stock Porsche wheel feels so inadequate compared to the Momo. Plus my left turn signal consistently shuts off now, whereas with the Porsche wheel it didn't! Nice bonus.

Did the install yesterday... got the horn working today, lol! Just needed to clean off the horn contact. Note that my install varied from Bill Ball's: my horn button had a ground spade on it, which is connected by a simple wire to the ground spade on the horn surround clip that on others' installs is not used or broken off.

Also swapped in an MP3/SAT Radio Alpine today. Makes a nice difference in the dash compared to the outdated Alpine it replaced.

Hi Mike,

Nice install! Just curious, my 944 Turbo had pretty much the same dash layout. A Momo wheel (with its smaller diameter than the stock wheel) blocked off my view of the leftmost gauge. Do you encounter the same problem with this steering wheel on the 928 dash?

Thanks!

I have no problems viewing all of the gauges with this wheel. The 944 gauge cluster is wider than the 928 pod (I used to drive a 944S). Plus this Jet wheel is not as small as some of the other Momo wheels I've used. Plus the bottom is a slightly flatter curve than the top, which is nice for easy exiting. (look carefully at the picture)

Hey, I always wondered what model the steering wheel was. I have the optional 'F1 Concept' horn push.

I have to lean towards the cluster to see the temp and volt gauge, but maybe thats just my preferred driving position.

Could be a difference in hubs? Perhaps as a result of the RHD / LHD difference? I dunno...
