Default Throttle position switches normal behaviour

Howdy all.

(1980 US928)

I have my intake all apart for fuel/vac/heater hose replacement & was fiddling with the TB switches, and noticed that they weren't activating (tested with multimeter). I have looked at the wiring diagram, but am unsure of the normal switch behavior. At present the WOT switch is staying closed, UNTIL throttle moves to activate, which opens the switch; this seems to be the reverse of what it should be according to the manual - but I may be cross-eyed.

Can any generous member enlighten me as to the proper operation of these switches?

I found some posts that explained what these switches do, but nothing on normal open/normal closed - admittedly I blasted through them pretty quick

TIA
Ken

I think on the 86, you have a TPS rather than 2 separate switches?
