I've always been a big fan of 928's and recently I came across a nice 1986 928S. Its in good condition, with low miles, great price and it's a stick. Personally I don't care for the look of the rear bumper on the earlier models and was wondering if it is possible to swap in a newer one from an S4 or GTS. If it's not a direct bolt on, how much work is needed. Also, could the power be increased to S4 specs? beyond S4 specs?
I've been looking at corvettes from around the same era and in a way they are bot pretty similar but a PORSCHE is a PORSCHE and a chevy is well..... a chevy
any input is greatly appreciated
Thanks,
-Jon

If you really want an S4, than don't "settle" for an 86S.
Where are you located?
I'm sure the list can find a nice 5spd S4 for you....

Normally I would agree with Borys except finding a good, clean 86S with a 5-speed might be worth considering over an S4.

yes I am polish.
don't tell me this is the car you are looking at
http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/car/315636235.html
I have seen this car listed and relisted on craigslist.
I cannot put my finger on it, but I don't trust this seller.
The car itself is an 86.0, what that means is if the last 4 digits are higher than 1000 it is called an 86.5, which gives you S4 brakes and suspension. This is not an 86.5
The owner thinks its a 4.7, which is wrong its a 5.0

so now we know you are in the chicago area.
How much are you willing to spend?
You can find a good S4 for under 10k. Are you looking only local, or would you be willing to fly out and drive home if you find a well sorted example?
