Where is ext temp sensor connector (RHD)?

Please can someone point me to location of ext temp sensor connector in a RHD 88 S4?
My bible is the wiring vol of the WSM. This lists the location of the sensor itself ("in air duct to generator) and very helpfully gives location of everything for both LHD and RHD.
But though it lists the sensor itself the connector is missing from the otherwise comprehensive list of connector locations.
Can anyone fill in this omission please?
Thanks

Guessing here, but...
I don't think it would matter whether it's RHD or LHD would it?
They call it a generator, but the duct (or hose) that vents the alternator comes in from under the left front part of the car (from the wheel well I think, but I don't have one
).
I think the external air sensor is connected to the wire sticking out of that air hose that vents your alternator.
EDIT: Just realized, you may be talking about the 'other end' like where it connects to the system. I don't know that part. Sorry if this is what you meant.

Not too sure about this. it's a long time since I was last in there. The sensor itself is a slim cylinder about 80mm long which fits into a steel band encircling the alternator air duct. You will find it in the space ahead of the left front wheel forward splash panel. I think you will find the connector for the sensor lead is in there too. I will be taking my splash panels off to repair them in the next week or so. If you haven't found it by then I could take a look.
