option code 046

option code 046
Once again, I have another '89 GT with one of the option codes being 046. Of course, it also has option 639 (GT), but I'm almost sure that 046 stands for GT as well. Now, I've only seen 046 on my '89 GT cars along with the 639 code as well, naturally.
I think that somehow, with '89's being the earliest of the GT's, that 046 was put down as the first indication of it being a GT, followed later by the addition of option code 639. It's the only thing that makes any sense to me in regards to that option number.
I guess that would beg the question, does anyone have option code 046 on a non-89 GT car? If not, I think it's been solved! And then, thereagain....................

Since Todd is no longer around to discuss this, I'd thought I'd revive this post to see if anyone else has seen code 04601 before. Car is an 89 5 spd.
I see mention of 046 often but never a 04601. naturally couldn't find it on Cantonia's, Kindel's, 928GT's, or Vilhuers list.
