I thought StratfordShark was referring to the web site of the local Porsche club. I visit London at least once a year and would like to have it.

There are two Porsche owners' clubs in the UK (isn't it funny how with any professional body, trade association, martial arts discipline etc there are always two rival organisations?).
One is the official Porsche Club GB which has support from the manufacturer. The other is TIPEC - The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts Club. Both are organised on regional lines (eg I'm in the Central region of TIPEC which covers West Midlands) so if you seek out their respective websites you would find contact details so you could check if one of their meetings coincided with a visit.

I've said this before, but what a great bunch of people on Rennlist. Paul and Martin took time to pick me up and return me to the hotel and allow me to visit the Ace Cafe. What an interesting place and "colorful" characters.
Martin is an American "muscle car" enthusiast and we talked Porsches and American cars from the 60's and 70's. Paul rebuilt his timimg belt failure "without" a car or a garage less than a mile away. I'm in the midst of this and can't imagine where I would put all of the miscellaneous parts without free space.
Incidently he has a really nice dark blue - "linen"? interior, 87 5 speed. I drooled, but something was clearly wrong with the steering wheel location. It may have been wrecked, but I didn't want to say anything, he apparently hadn't noticed it had been replaced on the wrong side.
Both of these guys were the most gracious hosts I could imagine. I guess somewhere along the line, when they come to the US, although I can't imagine why anyone would come to Indiana, I will always have a full table and a "pint of bitter".
I'm convinced that regardless of our little squabbles sometimes, there aren't a more caring and more enthusiastic group of "distant colleagues" anywhere on the planet.
Thanks to all of you. It's time to come home.
Andrew, I'll post pictures when I get back. Keep your shirt on (literally)
