Default o2 sensor question

my engine runs funny , when i connect the o2 sensor. what's up with that?
replacing the o2? or keeping it unplugged?
doesn't unplugging make the car run rich?
any ideas?

maybe u need to use another code plug when connecting the o2 sensor

may switching from "ROW without cat" to -> "ROW,USA with cat" will help (87 and newer cars?)

see pic : http://www.pff-online.de/wbb2/attach...chmentid=22820

as far as i can remember u have to bridge the o2 sensor connection when it is not in use (maybe i'm wrong, can anyone clarify?)

unplugging the o2 sensor should get the LH box to go into "emergency program"

sounds like the o2 sensor is faulty though (if the right plug is present)

Ceedee, add your car specs to your sig. Change your O2 sensor. You should be able to splice in a cheaper Bosche unit. I used a Bosche 02 sensor that had a "Ford" plug. I just snipped the plug and spliced it onto my plug.

Ceedee,

+1 to what Fabio said. Has the idle or timing been adjusted since the O2 is out to make it run smoother? Maybe replacing the O2 will require getting it back to 'spec'?
