Kurt - I agree people have to make decisions for themselves - the important thing is to think realisically about the risks and make a judgement. Seems like you have

Some people do things and create themselves new risks without even realizing what they did... I think we can all agree thats a bad thing...

....Like the ones who oil their brakes to make them work better!

Chaad, great idea. Looks like you are getting plenty of interest and you may have a market for these. You may want to give our local skinner a call "Robert Budd" and work out a deal with him. He would already have the colors and the crest down, and you have the patterns. If things work out you may be able to deliver some at SITM.

Could be really cool with a Shark on the top. Maybe a coyote howling at the moon or other personalized logo, V8, etc. Mac

That's after you add a zero to the numbers I provided. You may want to ask the people who executed Saddam what force it takes to break a neck... Then add some for the whole head to fly-off. <ewww>

But you'd probably be brain dead sooner. From my readings, the brain can take deceleration spikes of up to about 80g = above that you run a high risk of busting the blood vessels. I don't know what sustained deceleration the brain can handle - probably a lot less.

There is a ton of research done on accident prevention and occupant protection. It's one area of the automotive field I'm very much interested in and read a lot about. And I have the basic knowledge in Physics to understand (I majored in Physics and English in the last two years of high school). I'm also a crash survivor, thanks to using the existing safety systems at the time.

So, trust me, when I talk about safety I'm not taking things out of thin air.

Mark,

Thanks. I've been talking to Rob, for sure...

I ordered the Spare Tire Cover and it arrirved yesterday. Looks very nice, and appears well made. I put my spare in the cover and it fits well.

No affilation, other than a happy satisified customer.

Chaad,

I can’t figure out what went wrong!

You promised it would match and the new tire cover totally clashes with my interior.

Just kidding, if I could only get the rest done I’m sure it will look great. I probably shouldn’t leave it in the ‘EZ bake’ over too long fearing shrinkage.

Awesome job, it really looks great!

Thanks Again,

Kurt

DonT & Auzivision:

Thanks for the pics guys, and I'm glad you both like 'em!

Boy, you've got some work to do there, Kurt, but it is gonna look sweet when done!

Sweet *** seat cover! Are you going to do that for the rest of the interior? (Actually, looks like a big project... Don't forget SITM is only ~35 days away!)

What are you kidding me?

That’s not a seat cover that’s my bed. It used to be our dogs before I inherited... something about a love affair with a shark in the garage.

Yea, I like the fix-a-flat, plus I carry a plug kit and the small air compressor. Can hanldle any thing except a side-wall problem.

No combination of fix-a-flat and plug kit is gonna handle an inch long gash in the tread face. That's what my last flat was like.
