Default Need to drive my 928 somewhere this weekend

I need to drive somewhere! The car is mostly back together and ready to go. My wife and kids are leaving for Japan tomorrow, so I have a 4-day weekend to play. I was going to buy a car out in Maine, but that fell though. Then I was going to visit DR in Spruce Pine, NC, but he forgot it's Easter weekend and has relatives coming in to visit - so while not completely out of the question, I'd rather not barge in on family events.

So I'm still thinking of heading down toward DR's part of the country, but if someone has a better idea, I'm all for it. I saw there's a GTG in NJ which I might try to attend if nothing else pops up. Anyone else have something going on this weekend that I could drive to from Detroit?

Green Bay boys... got anything planned?

Help me decide.

Andrew,

Come to Montreal. The forecast is snow for Friday, snow for Saturday and, you guess it, snow for Sunday

Have a nice ride - in a place with sun.

Come to Denver. You can eat Easter Dinner here and spend Saturday fine-tuning my 86.5 so it's ready for my parents' visit next weekend. I'll take you to a Rockies' game, take you on the Coors Brewery tour and show you how to work my lawnmower. Or, you can do the trimming if you like.

Actually, the driving from Michigan to here is a pretty crappy 1300 miles of road. All the good driving is to the west and south of Denver, not East.

Thanks for the invite, but I think that's a bit too far. I'd like to stay within a 12 hour radius.

Andrew, drive up to Green Bay. Maybe you could put that whole " twin-screw vs. centrifugal" thing to rest?

Thanks Leslie. Now that I know my dad is going to be in Aseville, I'll probably head down there. But I do appreciate the invite.

Drive to Royal Oak. Take my engine out for me. It's too cold, so I don't feel like doing it.

WHEW!!! Glad Pensacola is outside that distance. Scared me for a minute!

Just kidding! You know you would always be welcome here, my friend!
