MAS connector wires, possible short?
Removed the MAS today, here's what the connector looked like. I'm thinking the exposed wires isn't a good thing....like possible short/bad signal to the computer. This is right after the connector, where it makes a bend. Years of heat have hardened the covering, breaking it open. Now the wires are visible. So has anybody re-wired this part, and how difficult is it? Are new connectors available? Any BTDT?
Thanks, Rich

As Zeus suggests, the connectors are available from eagleday.com. Depending on how much length you have, I would consider making a six inch or so pigtail from the connector and solder a buttsplice for each wire to the harness where you clipped it off, otherwise the harness may be too short. I double layer the shrink tubing at each splice and then put a length of 3/4 inch shrink over the whole splice.

So from the eagleday.com site I will need a "6-Pole Female AMP Junior Power Timer Connector Kit" part number ECK-226 in 1.5-2.0mm?
