Default Houston exotic car happy hour

the local ferrari chat guys are organizing a get together next friday night. Since I have a a 928, I thought I'd post it here and see if some of the local 928ers might want to show up.
here's the info:

Calling all Houston Exotic Car Owners and Auto Enthusiasts!!

After much discussion and thanks to tremendous help from key people on this board, especially Jason (Houston348) for setting up the venue, I am happy to announce our first Houston Exotic Car Night. The Dallas crew has been very good at these in promoting the love of cars and building new relationships to share in the passion. It's time Houston stepped up to the plate as well!

Location:

Pub Fiction
2303 Smith St
Houston, TX 77006
www.pubfiction.com

Date: Friday, April 13

Time: 5PM

Cost: Since reserved parking space is limited, all that is being asked is to take care of the valets. You drive your own car of course. The valets will simply assist in guiding you to the right spot. I believe it is $7+$5 tip so around $12 total. You are not obligated to park in the space if you don't want to pay. That's your decision.

Here are some guidelines/requirments:

1) Space for the reserved, closed off parking spaces are very limited. It can support about 40 cars. Therefore, if you are definitely going, we need you to respond to this thread with the following info:

a) How many people you will be bringing in order to reserve patio space?
b) Car(s) you will be bringing? If you are responding on behalf of someone not on this forum, please do so in a separate line item with their name and info asked on a) and b).
c) If you would like to come but do not want to pay the $12 valet or do not have a car you would like to put in the lot, that's fine too. You are more than welcome to join us. Just let us know how many people will be coming in your party so we can still reserve some patio space to eat/drink.

We do not discriminate. This is all about having a great and safe time, meet new people, and see other people's cars. If this goes well, we can set up runs and driving events as well as monthly or weekly car nights. If you don't have an exotic or unique car to park, no big deal. If we, however, do fill up all 40 on this list, please give the spots to those with the exotic cars...and I use the term exotic loosely. We would like to see Ferraris, Lambos, Bentleys, Astons, Porsche, Benz, BMW, etc...or any car you think is exotic and unique.

If you guys attend, you might see if "Joseph Maniaci" is there. He is a sales person (perhaps part owner) of Ferrari of Houston. He has owned one or more Porsche 928's, and I bought my most recent acquisition - the '94 GTS from him about 15 months ago. Gave me a great tour of their maintenance, repair, and racing facility. Hope you enjoy - just don't expect many Ferrari guys will think a P 928 is an exotic car!!!

Cheers,

Take it easy.. You don't have to prep us for the raking to come.
By the way You can Reserve me a spot I will be there. And I do want the Valet parking.
It would be nice if there were more support. Say, from all you Houston Folks lurking behind the scenes.

"Well I've got both and I say a 928 is pretty damm exotic" said Rick.

I TOTALLY agree, the only thing I said was "not MANY Ferrari guys will THINK the P 928 is very exotic". But then - like the P 911 guys, not many of them have ever driven a 928 for any distance, on any challenging roads, or on any real race track. It does quite well in those venues as a stock car against their stock cars!!
Have a great time, and don't be afraid to challenge them for pinks - HA!!!

Cheers,

Gary---
