Just got mine- very nice work, John, and I am sure it will help a lot! I'm just about to begin this job on my 86.5 I bought a few weeks ago. When I went shopping I had already decided that if the timing belt was old, or of unknown age, I would just go ahead and replace it and the water pump. Factored this in to the 3900 I paid for the car, and think it was a pretty good deal all in all. Will post pics in a day or two and everyone can decide for themselves!

Just want to add one comment- John's service was as good as the manual itself appears to be, so I have no trouble giving a "highly recommend" to his product.

Default Is the John Kelly Timing Belt Manual still available?

I realize I am replying to a dated post, but I am about to change the TB on my 83 and will need a step by step. From what I understand, this manual is great for people like me, even if tilted to the 32v S's.

Anyway, I would like to buy it if it is still around.

Thanks!

I did a step-by-step with pics on my 16V. Search this forum for "16V OB Timing Belt" and you'll see the thread. In the first post is a link for the pdf download.

Just pulled the trigger on this manual on ebay as well. I'm going to be tackling this and other repairs on my 86 soon. Thanks John!

I just downloaded and saved the pdf file made by Doug (see above post). Looks very complete -- extremely well documented and photographed. I think that is all I'll need.

Thanks again Doug!

Hello all,

It's hard to believe that it has been 5 years already.....

I do still have manuals for sale and regularly renew the ebay auction for them. (search "928 timing belt manual)

If you are asking about Kelly's manual, it is not the same item. Several people have done write-ups on the belt. IMHO, Kelly's is the best as it has better pics. IIRC, he focuses on 85/86. There are minor differences in the S4 and up (an extra bracket on the tensioner assembly, and dip stick, the removal of which threw me when I first saw it). Hint: If the WSM was good for the DIYer, there wouldn't be these other write-ups.

Just searched & Ebay says, "0 results found for 928 timing belt manual"

Do you have them on Ebay, or will you again soon?
Thanks!
