Just looking at the angle that those little accessory brackets attach down to the shock tower, it looks like lateral displacement of the tower will translate to torsional force on the crossbar. Might be OK...
If there's some specific and serious flexing you are trying to eliminate, you would do much better bracing back to the firewall/bulkhead rather than forward to those flimsy little tab brackets that the factory crossbrace uses. If you are just looking for something that looks faster than the original piece though, you may have found it.

I will say this, the stock brace sucks! Out of all the ones I have seen to date, I like this design the best! I would buy one if his next versions had a better damper tower bracket.

The important parts of the suspension are tied to the substantial cross member that is so "easy" to re-install.
The strut brace does nothing for the handling; it just reduces body flexing that "in extremis" could crack the windshield...
