I like the idea of self powered amps(plug &play) any suggestions or what did you use?
Thanks

When I changed my factory head unit-amp to my new Sony deck (integrated amp) the sound got much better.....granted the old amp was 40watts...& the new deck is rated at 150+....but in reality it has about 15 watts per channel or 60watts.....it sounds pretty good with the stock speakers.....Bill has heard it.....my only complaint is the bass is a bit lacking, but not bad & the speakers are mounted too high and too close...which causes stereo separation problems.....but theres not much you can do about it unless you have a true surround sound setup (like Bill is working on)

Michael,
I got the Kenwood KRC-WA62RC which was the predecessor to this Kenwood KSC-SW1 (I can't vouch for this retailer, but it's a good price).
Same size from what I can gather.
