What kind of car ramps do you use?
Until I buy Porken's jack lift, it is a pain in the *** jacking up from side to side so I want to find a set of car ramps to do quick, under the engine fixes. What I have in my garage and what I have seen in the stores have too steep of an incline for the low ground clearance.
Are there any manufactured ramps that work, or do I have to custom make some from wood boards?
Cheers!

The plastic ones work fine. You can avoid the spoiler clearance problems by using a 3' 2x4 laid on the ground in front of each ramp...drive up on the board before the spoiler, and you get enough clearance.

I got these from O'Reilly.
Rhino Ramps
They've been very durable thusfar and the price was definitely reasonable. I don't have a chin spoiler, so I can't comment as to whether or not that would be an issue, but have had both the front and the back up on the ramps. Good luck!

Ramps like the ones in post #6 are available at all auto parts stores, K-mart, wallyworld, etc. Watch for them on sale for around $20.

Biggest problem I have found with the ramps is they just do not go high enough. It would be nice to have some that would lift the car 2 feet off the ground and have a longer entrance to get up on them.

Cliff,
What you need is a mid-rise lift. I'm saving up for one of those .
For the ramps, I have 2 6' long pieces of 2x10 with a thin strip of firring strip nailed in at the end. I put my plastic ramps on them up against the firring strip (to keep them from sliding) the 2x10s raise the nose up just enough for the spoiler to clear the ramps, then I continue up the ramps.
Cliff is right, it's not really high enough to get under there with a creeper and do any real work, but you can get in and change the oil or check things quickly.

Try these low-profile ramps from Griots Garage:

They worked well on my 944s and I am pretty sure they will work well on 928s.
