You guys are selling yourselves short.
The fastest car I have ever messed with was a modified AMG - because of the HUUGE torque. The C6 ZO6 that I left 2 busses behind was NOTHING compared to it.
Murf is about ready to release a stage 3 500rwhp kit. More than a few Stage 1 & 2 owners are looking forward to the upgrade.

One problem with the Ferrari's is torque. If you catch one of these in the wrong grear below the curve, wouldn't take much to pull one. Stock C5 ZO6 Corvette's don't have a hard time out running 360's.

I'll take a 430 any day out of the week Such a fantastic car. Got to see them while I was in Newport recently. They are nicer in person than in photos.

JimR- i would like to hear some of your stories, let me live vicariously since i have not driven mine. I would sure hope that a SC 928 would do well against one. Hack is right that ferrari's in general except 599 lack the torque. I have been at their dyno days and they do.

The 430 with its increased displacement is supposed to have corrected that a LITTLE, but they are engines that make their power from rpm's.

The 360/430 is a beautiful design but still not as timeless or as aggressive and mean looking as a perfect OB. Plus there is just something about displacement that can't be beat. Just the rumble of a large V8 at idle or the neck snapping ability of torque is something special. Unlike andrew, if i had both i would still choose the 928 key first when going out the door. And just wait till greg gets his high revving OB monster working, the ultimate V8.

This is the one i drove a while back;

Exactly. Your 20 year old $30K +/- Porsche is competitve with a $180K 2007 Ferrari, nothing to be ashamed of.

PMotts - you are sooooo wrong!

$5k for the car; $1k for misc. service items; $5.5k for the supercharger

I'd say about $11.5k overall!

You gotta love a car that costs less than a supercharger and can be so insanely powerful after the upgrade.

Also anyone who spends more on an SC than they did on the car initially is OK in my book.

Wow..I didn't expect that so many "bench" racers would step up and say how a 928 can suffle' an F430. I find that awesome and totally support the effort! Alas, I have heard these claims like so many Honda guys with their squirrels on steroids over the years, talk to same way. I STILL have yet to see a 928 just **** all over all the cars that many say they can. I lived in southern California where so many of these super cars live and have seen several SC'd 928's. NOT ONCE have I witnessed any of these claims. PLEASE MY BROTHERS, get me some footage of these executions so I can too be a believer! I want so much to see the 928 perform as well as claimed by the few on this board. Please shut my stupid *** up and prove me ignorant.
