Default Lock question

Does anyone know how to remove the cylinder of the rear hatch from the housing which mounts into the hatch and contains also the latch? This housing is anchored to the hatch with two allen head bolts, and the electric release wiring screws into the rear of the cylinder. Somehow the cylinder must turn in the housing because there is a small tab on it that holds it in place, but clamping anything on the cylinder will ruin the vinyl coating on the cylinder. I see two pins on either side which seam as though they need to be depressed to release the cylinder and allow it to turn, but they will not budge. If someone knows I would be most grateful. I will check the PET catalogue now also.

While on the subject, I must warn everyone that my former advice to use graphite on these locks should be ignored and never followed. There is so much graphite crud in this cylinder that it will not allow the key to turn inside and I needed to acuate the release on the driver's side to open the hatch. Luckily it worked. I have used brake cleaner and silicone to flush it but not well enough so it must come apart. Don't use graphite at all. Just use silicone to lubricate your locks.

Thanks Davek. The cylinder is out. I found the anchor screw and after removing that it was a piece of cake. It was buried under a bunch of crud and graphite, and I am digging out caked graphite out of the cylinder.
