FYI John, I was mapping in load cells that had never been visited by the version that I received. I'm guessing that the car they came from doesn't make more than 5 psi boost.

Hi Tim
OK that's good on the EZK. You should be able to put in some extra advance in the low to mid range - 3-6 degrees. But you may need to take out up to 9 degrees at ther top end load/rpm, especially with the boost at 10psi. Depends on fuel grade used of course.
Interesting observation about the map I supplied you.
Nick,
Repeatablity or reuseability of a chip depends on how much safety margin you take out in the tuning. As Tim has mentionedd, he is playing safe with WOT A/F ratio. Same applies to ignition advance.

Tim and/or John Speake,
I have an '87 and installed John's diagnostic EPROMs to use with the Spanner (invaluable, by the way). When Tim burns new chips like this, would the diagnostic functions of those EPROMs still be fully functionable? Thanks.

Yes, any EPROM made with the SharkTuner will have diagnostics. The special binary files provided with the SharkTuner are based on the later EPROMS files which have diagnostics.
