Why would an overhead valve engine be more efficient than an overhead cam motor? I thought the reasons the cams were shifted up to the heads on most modern motors was to gain in horsepower and lower valve train weight. The weight of the push rods and the distance of travel make for a less efficient motor??
Am I missing something, but isn't this a drop back in technology. Hell while one is at it why not put on a Chevy four barrel? Less problems - simpler to rebuild?
Overhead valve? Only General Motors would brag that their cars have the valves in the cylinder head (i.e were built after about 1950). Do they think American consumers are so ignorant they equate "OHV" with "OHC"?
My wife had a GM car when we first got married (in the 80s) and it proudly displayed an "OHV" badge on the fender. What a bunch of losers, no wonder they're going down the tubes ....
