Man enters bar. Approaches tart sitting at said bar.
"Excuse me, miss. But can I have your pantyhose to fix my loose shifter cup on my 9-2-8."

New front shifter cup went in about 2-3 years back. It was the white plastic one.
The old one had a sliver of plastic rattling around the inside of the metal cup.

Jim: You are a real kick! If that line will not work, you should walk home!

Well I've decided to go the "Macgyver" route to eliminate the slop. I will post photos if any one wants to see my modifications. Jim, now you can bust my chops for non Porsche approved modifications.

Guess he's going out to 'procure' some right now.

If the cup went on tight, then your issue is with the rear coupler.

Right- I installed a new cup, which had to be forcibly pressed onto the ball- then a 6" hose clamp loosely around the shaft @ the "flat-spot" - It's Money...

OUCH looks like I may have to saw off "the ball" before I "procure" anything from an outside vendor....

Well once that ball is hacked off it's definetly not going to be a "pro-creation"
