You should be able to get the alignment close enough by eye to drive it.

Have you consider your nearest u-haul store and get a dolly (no affiliation, lol)?
It may be the cheapest and quickest route considering you got something to haul it with.

I'd get a U-haul and take the car down there myself. When you weigh the cost of the rental, versus the cost of mounting and balancing two sets of tires, in addition to the cost of the set of used tires, they'll both come out to near the same price, but one requires a lot more work.

DO NOT tell U-haul you are wanting to tow a 928...they won't rent to you!!

Maybe someone near you has a car hauler trailer they can lend you.

I've hauled two 928s with a Uhaul trailer. YMMV

I agree. Use a tape measure to get the centers close. Also you need good tires (evenly worn) to get an accurate aligment.

I have two used Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Asemetrico rears. 285X30X18. Measured tread is 7/32nds. Sixty ($60) dollars for both. I also have two used Dunlops FM 901s 265x35x18 with 6/32nds tread. I'll let them go for $50 for the both.

I could put a couple rounds of duct tape on my 17's and Id bet they would fit

I have more than once in the past done an alignment very accurately using 2 framers squares (the large 18” x 24” or thereabouts) and a tape measure (and a helper)

Make sure the car is on a decently flat surface. Take one framers square and set it on the floor near the back edge of one of the tires (maybe one or two inches in).

Take the other square and do the same thing with other tire.

Take the tape measure and measure on the floor the distance between the squares.

Move the squares to the front of the tires (on both sides of course) then measure the distance (at floor level) between them.

I usually set the front about 1/16” smaller than the rear of the tire. (Went to SITM ~2500km) after installing a new tie rod, without wearing out my tires and had no control issues (well maybe self control issues)

Default Toyo Proxes 4

I sent you a PM with my asking but we can always work a deal.

There is some uneven tread wear - one tire worse than the other and other isnt bad at all.
